08 September 2025

On 3 September 2025, the Lüderitz Waterfront Development Company (LWDC) successfully concluded its Stakeholders’ Engagement Roadshow with a high-level event in Windhoek, Namibia. The session brought together key government representatives, business leaders, community stakeholders and development partners to discuss the progress, opportunities and vision for the Lüderitz Waterfront Development Project.

Strengthening Partnerships for Lüderitz’s Future

The Windhoek engagement marked the final leg of a series of consultations aimed at fostering collaboration and transparency around the LWDC’s projects. These sessions provided a platform to share updates on:

  • Ongoing and planned infrastructure development projects

  • Opportunities for investment and tourism growth

  • The role of Lüderitz as a strategic hub for trade and economic diversification

  • LWDC’s commitment to sustainable urban and waterfront development

Honoring Contributions

The LWDC extends its sincere gratitude to all who contributed to the success of this important event. Special thanks are due to Mr. Denver Kisting, who served as Director of Proceedings, and Mr. Patrick Ndjuulume–Bishop, Anglican Diocese of Namibia, for their valued presence. Their contributions, along with those of all participating stakeholders, ensured a constructive and forward-looking dialogue.

Looking Ahead

The LWDC remains committed to advancing Lüderitz as a vibrant hub for economic growth, tourism, trade and community development. Insights and feedback from stakeholders across Namibia will guide the next phases of the Lüderitz Waterfront Development Project.

Together, we are building a future where Lüderitz stands as a model of innovation, opportunity and sustainable growth.
